The Recent Scoop!!!

Went to OB on Wednesday afternoon and had another sonogram. The baby is measuring small overall, but is symmetrical and that is really all that matters. If the head or body were disproportionate to the other, then there may be reason for concern. There is plenty of amniotic fluid and every other test/measurement, etc... came out looking good. You can see two eyes looking at you on the right of the picture. :-)

Now, Nancy is still on bed rest for two more weeks, then house arrest for two weeks after that, then the reigns come loose after that at 37 weeks and that baby can come whenever it wants.

Our Dr. seemed confident that we'll make it to that point so we were happy to hear that, but also realize nothing is for certain, so we'll do our part and go from there. We have weekly OB visits from here on out.

We decided to go forward with my umbilical hernia surgery knowing that if the baby delivered this early there would be several weeks in the Neonatal ICU so it would be awhile before I would need to do much lifting.

All went well with the surgery on Tuesday, had some "issues" the last two days but finally back to normal Friday afternoon. Thank goodness!!!
